1. Shefeekkinte Santhosham

 

A kind-hearted man named Shefeek decided to bring a gift to his ayurvedic doctor who helped him out of a predicament years ago. However, the gift in question lands him in trouble as he faces a police interrogation on the day of his engagement. The rest of the film focuses on how this affects his relationships with his family and friends. The film stars Unni Mukundan, Bala and Divya Pillai.

2. Aanandham Paramaanandham

 

This comedy entertainer focuses on Divakaran Kurup, a retired postman, who bides his time at a local toddy shop. However, his addiction to alcohol puts much stress on his relationships with his wife and daughter. He meets his match with Gireesh PP, who is an alcoholic as well. Things take a turn when Gireesh falls in love with his daughter.

3. Kaapa

 

Things run wild after an IT employee and his wife get tangled in a gang war between Kotta Madhu and Latheef’s crime syndicates in Thiruvananthapuram city. Directed by Shaji Kailas, the film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Asif Ali, Anna Ben, Aparna Balamurali and Dileesh Pothan.

4. Thattassery Koottam

 

After his uncle suffers an accident, Sanju has to design a necklace for a businessman’s daughter’s wedding. However, things take a hilarious turn after he messes it up in a bid to impress a girl. This sets off a series of events that has an impact on his family. Arjun Ashokan, Aneesh Gopal, Ganapathy, Siddique and Sreelakshmi star in this entertainer, which also has Dileep in a cameo role.

5. Varalaru Mukkiyam

 

This Tamil movie revolves around a wayward young man’s life, which is turned on its head when he begins to doggedly pursue the daughter of a new family in his neighbourhood. The movie is written and directed by Santhosh Rajan and stars  Jiiva, Kashmira Pardeshi and Pragya Nagra in lead roles.

6. Naai Sekar Returns

 

Naai Sekar Returns is a Tamil-comedy movie with Vadivelu in the lead role, while Sivaangi Krishnakumar, Anandaraj, Rao Ramesh, and Redin Kingsley play supporting roles. The movie is a spin-off Vadivelu’s character in Suraj’s film Thalai Nagaram, which was released back in 2006. The movie is about petty criminal Naai Sekar who collects dogs belonging to the rich in order to collect ransoms. However, things go south when he unknowingly abducts the dog of a ruthless criminal.

7. Gatta Kusthi

 

The Gatta Kusthi stars Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead roles. Vishnu, who plays Veera in the movie, is seeking a bride with his own preconceived set of conditions. This action-comedy movie is set in Dindugal where a middle-class man seeks revenge when a gangster called Muttai Ravi interferes in his life. The Great Indian Kitchen is a Tamil remake of the critically acclaimed Malayalam film by the same name. The film stars Aishwarya Rajesh and Rahul Ravindran and has been directed by R Kannan. The movie tells the tale of a young woman who deals with various patriarchal practices in a bold way after being married to a teacher from a regressive family.
