Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 12R Pro back in April as a mid-range offering with 5G network connectivity. Now, it appears the company is preparing to announce the vanilla Redmi 12R in China. Now, the handset has just appeared on the China Telecom website and interestingly, the listing reveals the phone will arrive with a better chipset compared to the Pro version. The Redmi Note 12R bears the model number 23076RA4BC. The Chinese Telecom listing reveals some key details about the specifications, price and design of the phone.

The China Telecom listing reveals the Redmi Note 12R will launch on June 30th in China.

Redmi Note 12R Design

• The Redmi Note 12R’s design is also revealed via the Telecom listing.
• The handset has a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper and narrow bezels. 
• The volume rocker and power button, probably with a fingerprint sensor embedded are on the right edge.
• The SIM tray section is on the left edge.
• Flipping the phone to the back, we see dual-camera sensors and an LED flash.
• The bottom portion houses the USB Type-C port, speaker grill and primary microphone.
• The top section has a secondary microphone and what looks like a 3.5mm audio jack.
• The Redmi phone can be seen in Blue colour but the phone will be available in

  Midnight Black, Sky Fantasy and Time Blue.

Redmi Note 12R specifications 

• Display: The Redmi Note 12R is expected to sport a 6.79-inch FHD+ display with flat edges and narrow bezels. 
• Processor: The Redmi Note 12R will be powered by the SM4450 chipset, which is speculated to be called the Snapdragon 4 Gen2 when Qualcomm unveils it. In comparison, the Redmi Note 12R Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen1.
• RAM and Storage: The handset will pack up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage that is expandable via a microSD card.
• Cameras: The Redmi phone will pack a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary sensor. The front camera details are under wraps at the moment.
• Battery: 5,000mAh battery but the fast charging details are unknown.
