Google Pixel 8 series launch date has finally been revealed by the company after numerous leaks and reports. The Pixel 8 launch event will take place in early October and Google took it upon themselves to reveal the Pixel 8 Pro’s design ahead of launch. Here are the expected Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro specifications and other details we know so far. Additionally, the Pixel Watch 2 is expected to be announced at the event as well.

This ‘Made by Google’ event is scheduled to take place in New York on October 4th, and it will start at 10 am ET, which would be 7:30 pm IST. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube, and on the Google Store website as well.
The Google Pixel 8 launch date was announced on YouTube as part of the company’s ‘Best Phones Forever’ series that it’s been running with the iPhone 14 Pro. Google has also been subtly throwing shade at the iPhone through these videos. Even this one shows the iPhone talking about how it’s finally going to get USB-C. Apple is expected to launch the new iPhone 15 series on September 12th, and it’s going to replace the Lightning port with USB-C ports.
The launch announcement comes just hours after Google ‘accidentally’ leaked the Pixel 8 Pro on its website. The Pixel 8 Pro in Porcelain was seen on the Google Store with the alt text of the image reading, “A person takes a call on a Pixel 8 Pro phone in Porcelain.” The design of the phone is aligned with what leaks have shown so far, with all three sensors now tucked together inside the pill-shaped camera module. In addition to Porcelain, the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to come in three more colours Jade, Licorice, and Sky.
