Now, a new leak from a tipster reveals a couple of key specifications for both phones. According to the leaked information, the iQOO 12 and Redmi K70 Pro will come with the same display and chipset.

iQOO 12 and Redmi K70 Pro will reportedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, according to tipster Digital Chat Station via Weibo. This flagship chipset is slated to launch in October at the Qualcomm Summit. Previous leaks have suggested the same chipset for the iQOO 12 but we’re hearing it for the first time for the Redmi K70 Pro.
The tipster adds that both phones will come with a flat display and 2K resolution. While not confirmed, both devices should get AMOLED panels.
iQOO 12 is expected to launch later this year along with the iQOO 12 Pro. As for the Redmi K70 Pro, there’s no word on when it could possibly launch but it will most likely take place by the end of this year.

According to a recent leak, the iQOO 12 is expected to feature a 50MP primary camera. The smartphone is also tipped to launch with 16GB of RAM with 512GB and 1TB of onboard storage. The iQOO 12 is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with up to 200W fast charging support, though a separate report suggests it will be 100W. iQOO might just launch two different variants of the phone depending on the market.
Redmi K70 Pro: what we know so far
There isn’t much known about the Redmi K70 Pro but leaks suggest it could pack a 5,120mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. The smartphone is also expected to house a triple rear camera setup. Along with the Redmi K70 Pro, Xiaomi will most likely launch the vanilla Redmi K70 as well. It’s also speculated that the Redmi K70 Pro and Redmi K70 will launch as POCO F6 Pro and POCO F6, respectively. This would be for global markets including India, and the launch is said to take place in Q1, 2024.
