Xiaomi on Tuesday launched a new smartwatch in India, the Redmi Watch 3 Active. The new wearable was launched alongside the Redmi 12 series smartphones and the Xiaomi TV X series. The Redmi Watch 3 Active had already made its global debut, and it’s the same smartwatch that’s made its way to India.

Redmi Watch 3 Active is priced at Rs 2,999. The smartwatch will go on sale on August 3rd at 12 noon, and it will be able to purchase via mi.com and Xiaomi retail stores. Redmi Watch 3 Active comes in two colour options of Platinum Grey and Charcoal Black. It also has three straps in the same colours including an Olive Green option. Xiaomi has an introductory offer where it’s offering the Olive Green strap for just Rs 99. It’s originally priced at Rs 499.

- Display: Redmi Watch 3 Active has a rectangle dial, which is a 1.83-inch HD LCD display with up to 450 nits peak brightness. The smartwatch comes in a metallic finish frame in two colour options Black and Gray. It also offers over 200 watch faces to choose from.
- Sensors: The smartwatch is equipped with a heart rate sensor, and a blood oxygen (SpO2) sensor as well.
- Battery life: It has a 289mAh battery that is said to last for 12 days on normal usage, and eight days on heavy usage.
- Water resistance: The Redmi Watch 3 Active is 5ATM water resistant which means that you can take it for swims and showers.
- Health and fitness: The smartwatch has over 100 fitness modes in-built. It also comes with sleep monitoring to help identify your sleeping patterns.
- Connectivity: It comes with Bluetooth 5.3 that also supports calls from the smartwatch. You can connect it with phones running Android 6.0 or iOS 12.0 and above. It’s also compatible with Strava and Apple Health apps in addition to the Mi Fitness app.
