Samsung is gearing up to launch a Fan Edition (FE) model from its flagship Galaxy S23 series. This will be the first FE model after the Galaxy S21 FE that launched in 2022. This year too was doubtful for an FE model but Samsung confirmed there is one in the works. We could be coming close to the Galaxy S23 FE debut as a new tip suggests it’s going to take place next month.

Samsung is yet to formally announce the launch date for the Galaxy S23 FE. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the launch timeline is set for September. If this information is accurate then we should be hearing something official about the Galaxy S23 FE soon. Unlike the flagships, there isn’t much fanfare around the ‘FE’ models so it might just be a press release announcement.

The tipster also listed out the spec sheet for the Galaxy S23 FE. Let’s take a look at what the phone could possibly offer.
- Display: Samsung Galaxy S23 FE could features a 6.4-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
- Processor: The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the Exynos 2200 chipset. This is the same chipset that powers last year’s Galaxy S22 series.
- Cameras: A triple rear camera setup featuring a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP sensor and a 12MP telephoto lens is tipped for the Galaxy S23 FE. For selfies, it could house a 10MP front camera.
- Battery, charging: The smartphone could house a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging, and wireless charging.
- Software: On the software front, it will most likely run One UI 5.1 based on Android 13 out-of-the-box. Samsung is also said to provide Android software updates for four years, and security support for five years.
- IP rating: Galaxy S23 FE is also said to come with an IP rating but the exact rating hasn’t been specified.
