Google has officially started teasing the Pixel 8 series for its upcoming ‘Made by Google’ event on October 4th. The Android maker has announced that the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones will be available to pre-order in India on October 5th. Google has also shared two teasers where the first one reveals the products it’s launching, and the second gives us a good glimpse at the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro’s design.
Google Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro India pre-orders
Google will open pre-orders for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in India on October 5th, just a day after the phones debut globally. Just like other Google products, the Pixel 8 series will be available exclusively via Flipkart. Pricing details of the upcoming Pixel phones will be revealed on launch day.
Google Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro officially teased
In a 23-second teaser, Google shows the Pixel 8 Pro in Porcelain, which we’ve already seen in previous leaks. The Pixel 8, however, hasn’t been leaked much and this is the first good look we’re getting of the phone, and what better than coming straight from Google. Here, the Pixel 8 is seen in ‘Rose‘, which is a sweet pink with a sort of glossy matte finish.
Overall, the Pixel 8 looks quite like the Pixel 8 Pro but the differences can be seen in the camera module. The Pixel 8 will come with two cameras as opposed to the triple camera setup on the Pro. It will also not feature the temperature sensor that’s exclusive to the Pixel 8 Pro, and located just next to the camera sensors.
Google Pixel Watch 2, Pixel Buds Pro launch
In another teaser, Google reveals all the products it’s launching on October 4th. Alongside the Pixel 8 series, we’ll also get the Pixel Watch 2 and the Pixel Buds Pro. Judging from the teaser, the Pixel Watch 2 looks quite like its predecessor with the circular dial but it does look to be slightly thinner. We also catch a very tiny glimpse of the Pixel Buds Pro that will come in Porcelain just like the Pixel 8 Pro.
