The iQOO 12 flagship series is expected to debut around the end of this year. The lineup is expected to include two models: the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro. These will arrive as the successors of the iQOO 11 lineup. Tipster DigitalChatStation has tipped some key hardware details of the iQOO 12.
iQOO 12 specifications (tipped)
- According to DigitalChatStation, the iQOO 12 will come with a 2K display and flat edges. Earlier reports suggested a 144Hz refresh rate.
- The tipster says the phone will have a plastic bracket to achieve a sleeker and more compact design with minimised bezels. The phone could have a metal central frame to improve the structural strength of the device.
- The phone is rumoured to feature a 50MP OV50H sensor and probably a mid-range telephoto lens. The iQOO 12 is expected to come with a Vivo V-series imaging chip to improve the photography capabilities.
- The iQOO 12 is tipped to feature a large battery with 100W fast charging support.
- The iQOO flagship is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which could be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB/ 1TB UFS 4.0 technology.
- Lastly, the flagship is likely to boot Android 14 OS with Origin OS 4.0 custom skin.
On the other hand, the iQOO 12 Pro is rumoured to come with a Samsung E7 AMOLED display with 2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The handset is rumoured to include a 64MP Omnivision OV64B periscope telephoto zoom lens, a 50MP Omnivision OV50H primary sensor and a 50MP ultrawide shooter. The iQOO phone could feature Vivo’s V3 image signal processing unit.
The Pro model could also be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage. The phone is likely to boot Android 13-based Origin OS 4.0.
