Squid Game: The Challenge finally has a release date after Netflix confirmed the reality show’s arrival earlier this year. Squid Game: The Challenge is a reality show based on the original Netflix title, Squid Game. Just like the series, the reality show will have people competing in different games to win the cash prize.
Squid Game: The Challenge OTT release date
Squid Game: The Challenge is scheduled to release on November 22nd, so you’ll be able to start streaming the show on Netflix in just two months. Netflix hasn’t revealed yet how many episodes it plans to release for the reality show. It announced in June that Squid Game: The Challenge will release in November, and it has now revealed the date on Twitter.
Squid Game: The Challenge trailer
Netflix announced the release date along with a trailer giving us a glimpse on what to expect. The reality show will have 456 participants in total vying for the cash prize of 4.56 million, which is supposedly the biggest cash prize in reality show history. There will be only one winner that survives Squid Game to get the cash prize.
The participants are seen wearing the green tracksuit with white stripes, and entering the game arena. We can also see the moderators of the game in red suits with masks on. The iconic Squid Game giant doll is also seen in the video, for the ‘green light, red light’ game which is the first in the show. From the 50-second trailer we can see that the reality show will be exactly like Squid Game, of course minus the brutal elimination.
After the show, there were remakes of Squid Game into an actual competition. YouTuber MrBeast also hosted a Squid Game reality show $1.5 million cash prizes were given out to participants. Since Squid Game: The Challenge is coming from Netflix itself, it’s expected to be an exciting one.
