iPhone 15 series went on sale last month and while the release of the standard models has been pretty smooth, iPhone 15 Pro users have been reporting a series of issues. This includes an unusual amount of overheating which is something that the users are facing in even normal usage. Here’s what Apple has to say.
Apple’s statement on iPhone 15 Pro overheating issues
The Californian company provided a statement to international publications stating that an iPhone could feel warmer on the initial days of setup thanks to “increased background activity.” This is expected as the iPhone learns your usage patterns and also uses more power to get the phone ready for use for at least the first few hours.
The brand also stated that it has discovered an iOS 17 bug which will be addressed in an upcoming software update. Also, some third-party apps are “overloading the system,” according to Apple, and the brand is working with app developers to fix the issue. This clearly means that Apple has been looking at the discussions and the issues may not be as prevalent soon enough.
It is being speculated that one such third-party app is Instagram, which is reportedly draining up to one percent of battery per minute on screen and causing the iPhones to heat up. The new Titanium material may not be the issue as what was being guessed earlier. iPhones still lack a proper cooling system compared to their Android counterparts which does cause them to run a little hotter especially while on charge.
