iQOO 12 India/global variant spotted on Bluetooth SIG ahead of launch

iQOO is set to launch its next flagship, the iQOO 12, in India on December 12th after unveiling the series in China in November. Ahead of that, the phone has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification, which reveals the model number and marketing name. This comes after the device already made an appearance on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification recently, which also hinted at an imminent global launch.

iQOO 12 Bluetooth SIG certification

• The Bluetooth SIG certification listing shows an iQOO phone with the model number I2220.
• The model number is shown to carry the moniker iQOO 12 and that the phone will come with Bluetooth 5.4.

No other information about the phone is revealed, but we already know the specs of the phone as it has already released in China, and the company too has been teasing it for some time now. 

iQOO 12 specifications

• Display: The iQOO 12 will feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM, 3000nits peak brightness, and a punch-hole cutout.
• OS: The smartphone will be the first non-Pixel phone in India to come with Android 14 out of the box. It’ll come with Funtouch OS 14 custom skin. It’ll come with three years of OS support and will be bloatware-free, the company has confirmed.
• Processor: The iQOO 12 flagship will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with Adreno GPU. There could be a dedicated Q1 chip as well.
• Cameras: The iQOO 12 will feature a 50MP 1/1.3-inch main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x zoom.
• Front camera: The phones could have a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.

• RAM/Storage: 12GB/16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage options.
• Battery: The iQOO 12 is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery and 120W fast charging support. While the Pro version could have a bigger 5,100mAh battery and 50W wireless charging.

The iQOO 12 launched in China in three colours – Burning Way, Legend Edition, and Track Version (translated). The iQOO 12 starts at CNY 3,999 (around Rs 45,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. So far, the iQOO 12 India price details or storage details are not known.
