OnePlus 12 is launching in China today. The company has confirmed and teased several features of the phone already. It will be coming with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, oodles of memory, stupid fast charging speeds, and a screen with DisplayMate A+ grade. There have been plenty of leaks and rumours too filling in our knowledge gaps. So, let’s revise what we know ahead of the event.

OnePlus 12 event is scheduled to kick off at 2:30 PM local time (around 12:00 PM IST).

OnePlus 12 design (expected)
- As per the live images, video, and renders, we know the OnePlus 12 could follow the design language of its predecessor but with some small changes. One obvious difference is that the colour within the camera island matches the rest of the back panel.
- The camera panel is still round, big, and slightly protruding while also flushed to the left frame.
- We have seen the phone in three colours viz Green, Black, and White.
- On the front, it is the same old hole-punch cutout in the centre.
- The edges are a tad curved. On the right side, we have the power button and the alert slider. The slider has been placed here as beneath the other side lies the gaming antennas. The other side has the volume rockers though.
- On the bottom lies a speaker grille, a mic, and a USB-C socket. Another mic hole is up top.
OnePlus 12 specifications: what to expect?
- Display: The phone is expected to bring a 6.82-inch AMOLED panel with a 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 4,500 nits of brightness, and 2,160Hz PWM Dimming. OnePlus boasts that the phone has got DisplayMate A+ certification.
- Software: Unlock using the in-display fingerprint reader and you could be welcomed by Android 14-based ColorOS 14.
- Cameras: The rear camera setup could consist of a 50MP Sony LYT-808 main camera, a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultrawide snapper, and a 64MP periscope zoom module. The front camera is a 32MP sensor.
- Processor: Inside, we have Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC taking care of the performance. It has reportedly managed the highest AnTuTu score too.
- Memory: This could be supported by 16GB+512GB, 16GB+1TB, and 24GB+1TB memory configurations.
- Battery: A 5,400mAh battery could be keeping the lights on with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging facility.
- Miscellaneous: Among other things, the phone could feature 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V5.3, Hi-Res audio, Dolby Atmos support, NFC, GPS, and a USB-C port.
