Earlier this month OnePlus launched the flagship OnePlus 12 in its home market and is now rumoured to unveil the mid-ranger OnePlus Ace 3 in China on January 4th. For markets outside China, the Ace 3 could be known as the OnePlus 12R. The source of this launch date also suggests some of the important OnePlus Ace 3 specs too. OnePlus Ace 3 China launch date (rumoured)

As per tipster DigitalChatStation on Weibo, the Ace 3 could launch in China on January 4th. However, it will only launch alongside the OnePlus 12 in India on January 23rd under the guise OnePlus 12R. Earlier this year, the OnePlus 11 and 11R were launched on the same stage.

OnePlus Ace 3 specifications (expected)

• Display: We are hearing that OnePlus Ace 3 will sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED screen with 4,500 nits of peak brightness and 2160Hz PWM dimming. This could be a BOE X1 oriental screen that’s present on the OnePlus 12. So, you could also get up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
• Cameras: The rear camera setup could consist of a 50MP main shooter with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide snapper and a 2MP macro module. Although previously there were rumours of a 32MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom also in the mix but then this was quashed by tipsters DCS and Max Jambor. 
  
  Anyway, the front camera could be a 16MP sensor.

• Memory: It could feature LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
• Software: OnePlus could launch the device with ColorOS based on Android 14 in China and outside China, the skin will be OxygenOS.
• Battery: We could expect a 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging support.
• Design: The Ace 3 could come with a metallic mid-frame and be available in grey, gold, and blue colour options.
