New Moto Edge 40 Neo leak reveals key specifications, design and colour options

After launching the Edge 40 series earlier this year, Motorola is now working on a ‘Neo’ variant. The Moto Edge 40 Neo was recently spotted on benchmarking website Geekbench, and an alleged video also leaked online revealing its design. Now the Moto Edge 40 Neo’s key specifications, pricing and renders have been leaked. 

Moto Edge 40 Neo specifications (expected)

• Moto Edge 40 Neo is expected to feature a 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, according to tipster Paras Guglani. 
• The smartphone is also tipped to launch with the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
• In the photography department, the Moto Edge 40 Neo is said to house a 50MP primary sensor, and a 13MP secondary sensor.
• The smartphone could pack a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging support. 
• On the software front, it will most likely run Android 13 out-of-the-box.
• More features of the Moto Edge 40 Neo include NFC, and IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
• As for the phone’s pricing, the tipster says it will be priced above 290 pounds which translates to roughly Rs 30,200. A previous leak suggested the Moto Edge 40 Neo will cost 399 Euros (Rs 36,300 approx).

Moto Edge 40 Neo design renders

The Moto Edge 40 Neo is seen in two colour options of a light green (Caneel Bay) and black (Black Beauty). In terms of design, the phone looks much like the Edge 40 series with its thin and slim form factor, curved edge display and punch-hole display. It also appears to have a faux leather finish like the Edge 40. There’s a dual-camera setup at the back with a punch-hole front camera that could be a 32MP sensor. The design is much like what has been leaked before.

There’s still no official announcement from Motorola yet on its upcoming phone but it has been spotted on the UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) website. The Moto Edge 40 Neo is also expected to launch on September 15th so we should be hearing about it soon.
