Vivo V29 5G tipped to launch globally this week with Snapdragon 778G, 50MP front camera

Vivo is refreshing its V-series with the new Vivo V29 series, debuting in global markets as soon as this week. The brand has already released the Vivo V29 Lite globally and the Vivo V29e in India. This time, however, there is news on the launch of the vanilla variant of the device. Vivo’s focus is again on selfies and design as the device has also been listed on the official website revealing all the features of the upcoming phone.

Vivo V29 5G launch date (tipped)

Based on a tweet by tipster Paras Guglani, the Vivo V29 5G smartphone will be launched globally on September 7th. The brand has already started teasing the device in European markets and South-East Asian countries such as the Philippines and Indonesia, but an exact date has not been made public yet.

Vivo V29 5G specifications for India and global markets (confirmed)

The device is based on the Vivo S17 smartphone that launched in China back in May. Compared to the Vivo S17, the Vivo V29 5G gets a 2MP monochrome sensor at the back and a colour-changing ‘Majestic Red’ option. This colour option will be available in India alongside Space Black and Himalayan Blue based on the global specifications page. Some markets will get an additional Purple Fairy option too. The India release of this smartphone could be by the end of this month. The brand has not confirmed or teased the launch but has reportedly begun retail training in the country. Vivo V29e made its global debut in India and was the first V29 series smartphone to be launched here.
