HMD Global is set to launch a new Nokia 5G phone in India on September 6th and the company has confirmed the same via Twitter. The company has been quite busy with feature phone launches lately and is probably now returning to the mid-range segment. However, the company hasn’t revealed any specifics of the phone but mentions, “Are you ready to experience speed?.”

- Nokia is returning to the mid-range segment with the launch of a new 5G phone in the country.

Nokia G42 5G specifications
HMD Global teamed up with iFixit to bring repair guides and OEM parts for the Nokia G42 5G. This includes battery, display and charging ports for five years.
- Display: 6.56-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 3 and a waterdrop notch for the selfie shooter.
- Chipset: The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC paired with Adreno GPU for graphics.
- RAM and storage: The chipset is paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and 128GB storage that is further expandable via the microSD card slot.
- OS: The Nokia G42 will run on Android 13 OS out of the box.
- Cameras: There is a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth module. There is an 8MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.
- Battery: The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support.
- Connectivity: Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
